I'm in grad school now. The GMAT is ridiculous.
I'm have slightly above avg intelligence and I made a 540. Pretty much right on the avg. I studied for a while because I hadn't been in school for a while.
It's a test, like the SAT, that measures your natural ability. I haven't take a series test, but I think I would do much better on one of those.

I'd say generally speaking your percentile for the GMAT will be the same for SAT.
GMAT isn't the end-all-say-all of MBA admission by any means though, especially more recently. If you performed strong as an undergrad and have excellent references obviously, and with any degrees the school/program that you attend only matters for your first area specific job. After that it's how much you work. Go for it.
